If The World Were Mine

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world” – Anne Frank.

If the world were mine
There would be no time
Princes would ride on swine’s
And nothing would be described as ugly
Only “pretty”, “smooth” or “fine”.

I’ll take the Apple and leave the Pine
Make everywhere connect by a straight line
Everest would be easy to climb
And nursery poems wouldn’t have to rhyme.

There’d be no crime
Except of course it were organized
Ladies would be positioned at every man’s side
And money would be useless; no need for dimes

Everyone would be entitled to their ‘Lemons’ or ‘Limes’
Care not if some do end up with slimes
They did there bid, it’s alright!

Only If the world could be mine
Everything will be at its prime
The sun will never leave
Everlasting shine.
